did you know?
...that dust mites indulge in sex marathons lasting as long as 24 hours.
dr. matt colloff, a CSIRO entomology scientist, documented the bizarre sexual behaviour of dust mites in his book entitled (you guessed it right) 'dust mites.'
according to dr. colloff, dust mites mate back to back. the organ of the male dust mite is shaped like an old-fashioned coffee pot spout and locks onto the female with a pair of suckers. the male organ is so narrow compared with its sperm that the sperm has to tavel in a single file, thus making mating slower than other organism. they remain in that position for 24 hours. the female dust mite continues on with everyday life and the little male hangs on. they spend their days eating and copulating and defacating.
baw ah, pwerte.
